What is ESign (轻松签)?

ESign, called 轻松签 in Chinese, is an iOS app that signs and installs IPA files directly on an iPhone or iPad using an Apple signing certificate (.p12) and a provisioning profile (.mobileprovision). It became popular because it does not need a computer or a jailbreak. The most widely distributed version is 5.0.2.

What iClone adds

  • 15 interface languages, including English, Vietnamese, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese, Spanish and Arabic. The app follows your iPhone’s language automatically.
  • A built-in iClone Store source that is reviewed for backdoors and malicious plug-ins. You can still add any third-party source.
  • Online installation on iclone.download: upload your own .p12, password and .mobileprovision, and the installed iClone already contains your certificate.
  • Downloaded IPA files can be moved into the app library automatically.
  • In-app update checks, so new iClone releases can be downloaded and re-signed with your certificate on the phone.

What stays the same

  • Signing IPA files on the iPhone with a .p12 certificate and a .mobileprovision profile.
  • Certificate management that shows whether a certificate is valid or revoked, and when it expires.
  • Software sources, the app library and batch signing.
  • Multiple copies of the same app with different bundle IDs and names.
  • Injecting dylib, framework and deb tweaks, and custom entitlements.

How to switch from ESign to iClone

  1. Install iClone: download the IPA, or install it online with your certificate.
  2. Import the same .p12 and .mobileprovision you used in ESign. See how to import a certificate.
  3. Add the software sources you use. The iClone Store source is already included.
  4. Re-sign apps with iClone when you need to. Apps that ESign already installed keep working until their certificate expires or is revoked, because they do not depend on the signing app.

Get iClone

Download the IPA, or install iClone online with your own certificate. The certificate is imported into iClone automatically.

Frequently asked questions

Is iClone the official ESign app?

No. iClone is built on ESign 5.0.2 and is maintained by a separate team. We thank ESign and its original authors for their work.

Can I keep ESign installed?

Yes. ESign and iClone use different bundle IDs (p3.xyz.yyyue.esign and duokai.app.iclone), so both can be installed at the same time.

Will my ESign certificate work in iClone?

Yes. Both apps use the same .p12 certificate and .mobileprovision profile. If the certificate has been revoked, it will not work in either app. See what to do when a certificate is revoked.

Can I download ESign here?

No. iclone.download only distributes iClone.

Is iClone free?

Yes, iClone is free to download. Like ESign, it needs a valid Apple signing certificate to install and sign apps.
